Life's too Short...

Life's too short... for meal plans.
{Stop worrying about food. Live unexpectedly and spontaneously instead.}

Life's too short... to let the little things go unrecognized.
{Appreciate breathing, living, loving, and learning everyday.}

Life's too short... to go a day without being yourself.
{You're the only you on this planet. Prove it!}

Life's too short... to hold onto things you cannot change.
{Hold your head up instead.}

Life's too short... to let a number define and consume you.
{It doesn't matter if it makes you miserable. Only you can define yourself.}

Life's too short... to be unhappy.
{You have so many reasons to be otherwise. Happiness is a choice, and it's always there. Let it be!}

"Imagine there is a bank account that credits your account daily with $86,400. It carries over no balance from day-to-day. Every evening the bank deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course? Each of us has such a bank. Its name is time. Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off as lost, whatever of this you failed to invest to a good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no over draft. Each day opens a new account for you. Each night burns the remains of the day. If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours. There is no drawing "against" tomorrow. You must live in the present on TODAY'S deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success. The clock is running. Make the most of today."

Happy Friday, all! Be appreciative. Be aware. Be happy. Be you. I hope this helps at least one person.

Sunday Motivation: Prove Them Wrong

You're always gonna be blessed with the people who try to bring you down... try to tell you that you can't do something. I say 'blessed', because it's true! Without those people, who would be your motivators? In every aspect in life, prove the disbelievers wrong. The bullies, the haters, the negative Nancys, and the miserable Melvins... Prove them all wrong.
When you think you can do something, that means you CAN do it. If you push yourself hard enough, and you tell yourself that you canyou will... With no doubt about it.

Have a mess up? Learn from it. Get back up, and learn from the experience. Recovering from an eating disorder? Have people doubting you can do it? Prove to those people who think you're never gonna recover wrong. Let the haters be your motivators and nothing more. Feel like giving up? Don't. Why? Because there are people who are waiting for you to give up. There are people who would kill to see you fall. Prove 'em wrong. Every single one of them.

Live freely, stay positive, and most importantly; keep pushing. The moment someone tells you that you can't do something, that's a sign you must prove them wrong.

Giving and Gaining

A few days ago, I was in the car with my mom and my little sister. On our way home from the store, we saw the same homeless guy that we see {at least} once a week in the same spot. It looked like it was about to rain, so he was lounging on the main street corner underneath an umbrella with his stuff. He seemed content. Not unhappy.

We passed him, and he waved and smiled at us... Like he always does. He doesn't ignore people passing. He smiles at them. (You would think living that type of lifestyle wouldn't result in a smile on your face.) But, after we saw that, we immediately turned around. On our way back, again, we passed him... This time, I offered him $2. He acceptably and happily took it, and then he thanked us. By giving him those $2, instead of losing something (money), I felt like I gained something. I felt incredibly good and grateful for what I have, and my heart felt warm. My mom's did, too. She also told me that every time she sees him, she wants to give him something. Anything. Food, drinks, clothes, money... Even $0.50 could make a difference when living that type of lifestyle, you know? She told me, even if she only had $1 left, she would give it to him and feel good about herself. I agreed.

Seeing people like that, who don't even seem to be miserable, totally give me a more accepting and different perspective on life. It makes me realize how much more appreciative I should be. (Not that I'm not already! I promise I am! Haha.) Yeah, we all have our problems... But are they really as bad as we make them seem? Everything is only as bad as you make it out to be.
Don't ever take anything (or anyone) for granted... Not even that $1 you have in your wallet. Be happy you even HAVE that $1! Don't let little things get you down so easily anymore. Remember all the little things that you can be happy about in the long-run.

Imagine living in his shoes... Would you be as smiley and nice as he was?
